Atlanta Falcons: 3 Offseason moves to return to playoffs next season
2. Keep offensive firepower together
Another thing that should occur during the offseason for the Atlanta Falcons to try and make a return to the postseason is the Falcons need to focus on doing everything they can to keep the offensive unit intact.
It’s no secret that Atlanta has consisted of one of the top offensive units in the NFL, showing the ability to take over games on that side of the ball while often outscoring opponents every week.
Behind quarterback Matt Ryan, the Falcons consist of players such as wide receivers Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley, along with tight end target Austin Hooper, to pace the way for the passing game while showing the ability to grab momentum through the air in a blink of an eye.
Atlanta also contains a solid running game led by Devonta Freeman and the rest of the running back group, offering the ability for the Falcons to contain a balanced offense while establishing a running game on the ground to counter the top-notch passing game in Atlanta.
A big thing for the Falcons is to try and keep that firepower on the offensive side of the ball together heading into a new regular-season slate in 2020, as long as they are able to do so while still focusing on addressing other needs in various aspects of the team.
If Atlanta is able to have a bulk of that offensive group return for the upcoming season, we will likely see them return to being one of the top units on offense as it tries to end its playoff drought and return to the postseason at the end of the 2020 regular season.
