The Philadelphia Eagles have plenty of work that can be done in the 2020 NFL Draft but which players should they be targeting in the first round at No. 21?

With less than 100 days until the 2020 NFL Draft, teams are already starting to prep for the big event. With the Philadelphia Eagles picking at No. 21 in the first round, there are many interesting options to choose from in order to fill their positions of need. These holes include linebacker, safety, defensive end, wide receiver and cornerback.

Most of these positional needs will be addressed throughout the duration of the draft in some fashion but the first round is essential in terms of picking their next Day 1 starter. Obviously, due to the Eagles’ draft position, they won’t have a chance at bluechip talents like Chase Young, Isaiah Simmons, Jerry Jeudy or Jeffrey Okudah, all likely top 10 selections.

Having said that, depending on their testing, interviews and visits with the team, the Eagles can still find a prospect that has the tools to help them from the moment they arrive. With that, let’s take a look at an early look at five first-round targets for the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2020 NFL Draft.

5. Kenneth Murray, LB, Oklahoma

This kid seems to be around the ball at all times. Kenneth Murray was the captain of the Sooners defense in 2019 and he helped lead Oklahoma to a Big 12 title and their third College Football Playoff appearance in five years.

Murray ended his 2019 campaign with 102 total tackles and four sacks and he has an opportunity to make a major impact on the Eagles defense. Nigel Bradham will be 31 years old by the beginning of the 2020 season and Murray will look to be his eventual replacement.

Murray can also line up on the outside so he could also replace Nathan Gerry and T.J. Edwards, two players who have been a bit underwhelming, for a spot right away.
