The Denver Broncos have important holes to fix on both sides of the ball in the 2020 offseason and these free agent targets would serve them well.

The Denver Broncos missed the NFL Playoffs for the fourth straight year in 2019. However, the future looks bright for this young team. They finally seem to have found their answer at quarterback with 2019 second-round pick Drew Lock and have a strong young foundation to build around him.

With that being said, there are needs that the Broncos have to address throughout the secondary as well as on the offensive line and at the wide receiver position in the 2020 offseason. And 2020 NFL free agency is the first avenue Denver will have to address those needs.

This list of possible free-agent targets is comprised of the best players to help the Broncos moving forward. Their placement on the list is based on two things: talent and value. The biggest needs to address for this team are offensive tackle, cornerback, safety and a speedy deep threat at wide receiver. The 2020 free agency class has no shortage at any of those positions.

We will have to see if John Elway can continue to build this team and address some of those needs without overpaying. And of course, they need to retain some of their own free agents, such as breakout safety Justin Simmons and defensive lineman Shelby Harris, both of whom have tremendous value in the Mile High City moving forward should the Broncos be able to keep them from heading elsewhere on the open market.

With all of that in mind, let’s dive into the 2020 NFL free agency pool and look at the top 10 early targets for the Denver Broncos. We start with a player in the secondary that Elway could possibly poach from an AFC West rival.
