2020 NFL Mock Draft: What if the Bengals pass on Joe Burrow?
By Dan Parzych
Could Jedrick Wills end up being the first offensive tackle selected in the first round of this year’s draft once April arrives?
Since the teams before them could end up looking to another round for help with the offensive line, the Jacksonville Jaguars could benefit from landing the Alabama product once they are officially on the clock.
No matter which quarterback ends up being the starter for 2020, the Jaguars realize the importance of making sure they receive the proper protection under center.
Originally, the future appeared to be bright for former Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles in Jacksonville, but after an unfortunate injury early on in 2019 played a role in the surprise emergence of Gardner Minshew, it will be interesting to see what the Jaguars decide for 2020.
But as far as the draft is concerned, Jacksonville clearly could use some extra help with the offensive line, and Wills almost seems like a no-brainer if available.
From his ability to pave the way for the ground game to awareness in protecting the quarterback, there’s a reason Wills is considered one of the top offensive linemen and has plenty of potential to develop into a star in the NFL.
