2020 NFL Mock Draft: What if the Bengals pass on Joe Burrow?
By Dan Parzych
Speaking of potential players at top positions, when it comes to the best safety from the 2020 class, Isaiah Simmons has made a strong case for himself following an impressive career at Clemson.
To say the Cleveland Browns turned out to be one of the biggest disappointments from the 2019 season would be a huge understatement since the team went from Super Bowl expectations to winning just six games all year.
As a result, the Browns face plenty of pressure this offseason to make sure the results are better in 2020 since Cleveland simply has too much talent on both sides of the football to let another year with potential go to complete waste.
Based on his time with the Tigers, Simmons has proven to be the kind of defender who seems to get better with experience, and this trend should continue in the NFL, no matter where he ends up.
Simmons’ athleticism alone makes him an intriguing possibility for the Browns, and it would be even more beneficial for the defense that he’s capable of playing multiple positions.
Plus, with a new coaching staff led by Kevin Stefanski, Simmons could be another missing piece to the puzzle that helps Cleveland live up to the hype in 2020 instead of disappointing the fan base yet again.
