2020 NFL Mock Draft: What if the Bengals pass on Joe Burrow?
By Dan Parzych
Finally, the Denver Broncos seem to have found a quarterback with potential in Drew Lock to build the franchise around, although the youngster still has a long way to go.
Last spring, the Broncos had nothing to lose in using a second-round pick on Lock, and it certainly paid off in a big way towards the end of the 2019 season since Denver managed to win four of their final five games.
Now, the question will be whether Lock can carry this magic over into 2020 to show the Broncos he is, in fact, capable of being the long-term answer on offense.
Unlike most quarterbacks across the NFL, Lock is fortunate enough to be part of a team that always seems to have a reliable defense each season, and one can only imagine the excitement for the unit feeling confident in the team finally having a quarterback to count on.
Of course, as great as Denver’s defense has been over the years, there is always room for improvement to certain areas, including the cornerback position.
Once again, Alabama should see plenty of their defenders go on to be successful members of the 2020 draft class, and Trevon Diggs should easily be one of the top cornerbacks take on opening night unless he suffers some sort of dramatic setback.
Whether it happens to be his impressive technique or great speed, Diggs should be able to go on to have a successful NFL career.
