C.J. Henderson. 17. 123. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Cornerback. Florida. player

The Dallas Cowboys have no one to blame other than themselves for failing to make the playoffs this past season since all the injuries to the Philadelphia Eagles should have made winning the NFC East a piece of cake, yet they failed to come through.

As a result, the Cowboys made what seemed like an overdue decision to move on from Jason Garrett after 10 seasons, and bring Mike McCarthy on board as his replacement as head coach.

Talent-wise, there’s every reason to believe that Dallas will bounce back as one of the top contenders in the NFC, especially if Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott continue to be a dynamic duo on offense.

But if the Cowboys are truly going to compete, the defense could use some help adding another cornerback to the mix.

With the kind of man coverage skills C.J. Henderson possesses, Dallas could benefit in a big way from adding the Florida product on defense to keep things even more interesting in the division next season.

Henderson’s tackling certainly isn’t the most impressive feature in the world for the cornerback, but every player has areas to improve on once they arrive in the NFL, meaning this would still be worth the selection for the Cowboys.
