2020 NFL Mock Draft: What if the Bengals pass on Joe Burrow?
By Dan Parzych
Just like the Miami Dolphins, the Oakland Raiders are fortunate enough to have multiple picks in the first round thanks to previous trades, so they could benefit from using one pick on each side of the football.
If the Raiders were to focus on cornerback right away, it only seems fair to look for help at wide receiver once they’re on the clock for a second time to take some of the pressure off Derek Carr.
Similar to Jon Gruden, most Raiders fans assumed that Carr would find a way to elevate his game to new levels over the last two seasons, but unfortunately this has been far from the case.
Plenty of worthy wide receivers could come into consideration at No. 19, one of which deserves to be Henry Ruggs III after seeing what the last three seasons at Alabama have been like for the wideout.
The numbers displayed by Ruggs may not stand out like some of the other players at the position in this year’s class, but also this could make him the perfect fit as well.
Since Ruggs seems better off as a No. 2 or No. 3 option in the passing game, joining the Raiders could be perfect for the Crimson Tide star, especially when seeing how his blazing speed can provide a major advantage.
