2020 NFL Mock Draft: What if the Bengals pass on Joe Burrow?
By Dan Parzych
The trend of multiple picks in the first round continues for at least one more team since the Jacksonville Jaguars earned an extra one due to the trade that sent Jalen Ramsey to the Los Angeles Rams before the deadline.
If the Jaguars decide to focus on using their first selection on the offensive line to provide better protection for Nick Foles or Gardner Minshew, it obviously makes sense to use their second pick on the defensive side of the football.
A few years ago, Jacksonville established a reputation for having one of the best defenses in the NFL, and even though most of those key players are gone, there’s always hope to see the unit return to a similar level of play.
Someone like Javon Kinlaw certainly isn’t going to solve all the issues the Jaguars have been dealing with on defense over the last year or so, but the defender is still a solid starting block to work with in Jacksonville.
Kinlaw’s explosiveness is just one of many positive factors as to why he’s worthy of the Jaguars consideration and depending on if the defensive lineman would be available in this spot, this would almost seem like an easy decision.
