Pick Analysis. Justin Herbert. player. 13. Scouting Report. Quarterback. Oregon. 6

Plenty of factors came into play this past season in regards to the Los Angeles Chargers winning just five games, but one thing seems absolutely certain, which is the team needs to strongly consider moving on from Philip Rivers.

Throughout his career, there have been numerous times in which Rivers has played on a high enough level to be considered a top quarterback in the league, but 2019 made it clear this is no longer the case.

After previously making an impressive run in the playoffs the year before, Los Angeles was expected to be a top contender in the AFC once again during the 2019 season before turning out to be a major disappointment.

Like most teams, the Chargers have numerous positions in need of improvement worth focusing on in the first round, but with the No. 6 pick, Los Angeles should be in great position to land a top quarterback from this year’s class.

Does this mean Justin Herbert could be the quarterback of the future with the Chargers following a phenomenal career at Oregon?

Herbert certainly has the kind of impressive accuracy most teams would love to work with, and the 61 touchdown passes over the last two seasons compared to just 14 interceptions should make numerous teams excited, which includes Los Angeles.
