Baltimore Ravens trade down for more picks in 7-round 2020 mock draft
If Essang Bassey checked size benchmarks better than he does at 5-9, 191 pounds, I have no doubt he’d be a top-100 lock in the 2020 NFL Draft, if not a top-60 lock. However, his lack of size and strength is evident, meaning he’s likely pigeonholed into a slot role at the NFL. Lucky for the Ravens, that’s what they need.
With Marcus Peters and Marlon Humphrey occupying the outside corner roles, Jimmy Smith played a ton in the slot. As Smith may be gone this offseason, however, the Ravens need to find a replacement and Bassey can be that with terrific footwork, technique and coverage ability that should allow him to see snaps right away in his career.

Third-round selection Michael Pittman can be a possession guy for the Ravens but, at the end of the day, this offense loves explosiveness. Thus, taking a shot at Gabriel Davis in the fifth round makes a lot of sense to improve this wide receiver corps.
At UCF, Davis wasn’t asked to do much other than get into his stride and beat defenders down the field. He’s more than capable as that type of vertical threat but needs refinement elsewhere in his game. Having said that, his downfield playmaking makes him an asset for the Ravens offense.
With what ends up being Baltimore’s final selection of the 2020 NFL Draft, they take a leader and athlete out of Lenoir-Rhyne, Kyle Duggar. Duggar lined up everywhere in college — safety, linebacker, return man, running back, everywhere — because he’s such a fantastic athlete.
Because of everywhere he was used, he’s without a true position entering the NFL, be it at either safety spot or linebacker. However, he’s a piece that could fill a lot of depth roles for the Ravens defense, meaning he’s a high-upside swing late in the fifth round.
