The Senior Bowl isn’t the prime scouting event but there’s plenty of talent to scout. Here are three players the Dallas Cowboys should have been watching in Mobile.

The offseason has a couple of big events for incoming collegiate athletes as they prepare for the NFL Draft. The biggest is clearly the Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, but before that, we have the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama. The drills preparing for that game took place this week and the Dallas Cowboys front office executives were on hand to check out the prospects.

It was a bit odd that head coach Mike McCarthy and his staff didn’t attend, but he’s reportedly been hard at work at The Star in Frisco getting ready for the upcoming season. Him staying behind is also putting a lot of faith in the staff, which is led by Will McClay, the team’s vice president of player personnel.

There will be plenty of big names that stand out from these drills, but not all would be great fits for the Dallas Cowboys. Here, we look at everyone who attended and identify the top three that the team should be targeting.

Honorable Mention: Tyler Bass, K, Georgia Southern

One player who stood out and would be a huge help for Dallas is Tyler Bass from Georgia Southern. He’s still only an honorable mention because kickers are rarely drafted.

But for Dallas, they might want to consider it. Their kicking woes have been on full display and as Cory Kinnan of With the First Pick noted, this kid got the attention of everyone.

"“Georgia Southern kicker Tyler Bass caught the attention of those in attendance after banging a 58 yard field goal through the uprights to end practice for the North Team today. While drafting kickers is never the wise option, there are always a couple every year who get the honors; Bass has the leg this year to be that guy in the 2020 NFL Draft.” — Kinnan, With the First Pick"

And with that all being said, let’s dive into the top-three players Dallas should target.
