2020 NFL Draft: 11 Senior Bowl standouts who raised their stock

7. Bradlee Anae, EDGE, Utah

In Saturday’s game, Bradlee Anae showed why he’s one of the best senior edge rushers in the 2020 NFL Draft. He absolutely destroyed the man in front of him. He finished the game with three sacks. For Anae though, it’s par for the course on a season where he finished with 13 sacks and 14 tackles for a loss, bringing his season total to 16, technically speaking.

He does a great job with his hands especially on counters but he’s improved over the years. In fact, TDN’s Benjamin Solak marveled at Anae’s explosiveness, bend, hands and finish against potential first-round offensive tackle Austin Jackson this week.

After his Senior Bowl performance, Anae earned himself a move up draft boards. While he doesn’t offer a ton of versatility in terms of scheme, he offers potential as a starter. Anae is a 6-3, 257-pound end ideally suited for 4-3 teams.

He could play around 265 pounds and not lose any speed. In creative schemes, he offers something as a three-tech upfield rusher in sub-package situations. There’s a power element to his game that aids in his ability to anchor against the run. At the very least, he’s an early Day 3 prospect that can help a team improve on defense.
