Before the Kansas City Chiefs face the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 54, here are five x-factors for the AFC Champions to come out on top in the game.

The week of preparation leading up to Super Bowl LIV is officially underway for the Kansas City Chiefs. Following 16 regular-season games and two postseason matchups heading into Sunday’s big game, the Chiefs have one more team in the San Francisco 49ers standing between them and a Lombardi Trophy this year.

Kansas City and San Francisco will battle it out in the ever-anticipated Super Bowl LIV contest at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

The Chiefs, who earned the second seed in the AFC standings following the regular season schedule, come into the game after taking down the Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional Round before advancing to the Super Bowl with a victory over the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Championship.

Kansas City, which has one of the top and most explosive offenses in the league, wrapped up the regular season with a record of 12-4 overall while also winning the AFC West title for the fourth straight year.

The 49ers, on the other hand, come into the big game on Sunday as the top-seeded team and are coming off of victories over the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Divisional Round and the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship to reach the Super Bowl.

San Francisco, viewed by many as containing one of the more complete groups on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, finished the regular season slate with a 13-3 record while claiming the NFC West crown a year after finishing just 4-12 overall.

Going into the final game of the NFL season on Sunday evening, the Chiefs and 49ers faced off once during the 2019 campaign, although it was just a preseason showdown in Week 3 of the preseason schedule. In that matchup, San Francisco came out on top in Kansas City, taking the game by a score of 27-17.

With much more on the line this weekend and before the Chiefs take the field against the 49ers in Super Bowl 54, let’s dive into five x-factors that on the side of the Chiefs in the big game.
