2. Kirk Cousins put on a nice showing

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins found out he was selected to the 2020 NFL Pro Bowl later than the initial wave of Pro Bowlers did, but that didn’t halt the quarterback in stepping up under center in the game on Sunday.

The veteran quarterback was named a replacement for Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers throughout the week leading up to the Pro Bowl, joining seven of his teammates on the list of Vikings players to represent the purple and gold in the contest.

Cousins, who took part in his second Pro Bowl of his career to this point on Sunday in Orlando, ended up leading the NFC in total passing yards while remaining on the field more than any other conference quarterback did in the 38-33 loss.

In the game, Cousins finished with a total of 181 passing yards to help the NFC record a combined total of 361 passing yards through the air. While completing a team-best 13 of 22 overall pass attempts, Cousins threw for a NFC-leading two touchdowns to finish with a quarterback rating of 96.9. The quarterback also did throw one interception during his time on the field.

Another takeaway for the Vikings in the game was the fact that Cousins was put on display early and often and ended up leading the NFC in the passing attack under center in the contest, although the game ultimately ended up in a loss for the NFC.
