Betting on the Super Bowl is a tradition unlike any other and these are the best bets and odds for the 49ers vs. Chiefs matchup for Super Bowl 54.

It’s hard not to be excited for Super Bowl LIV between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers. Not only have these obviously been two of the most successful teams in the 2019-20 NFL season and playoffs but they’ve been incredibly exciting along the way. Thus, it’s hard not to get caught up in the excitement of Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense vs. Nick Bosa, Richard Sherman and the 49ers defense or Raheem Mostert facing a lackluster KC run defense.

Beyond just being exciting though, this is also a Super Bowl matchup rife with tasty betting odds and potential gambling opportunities. Depending on how you see Sunday’s matchup between the 49ers and Chiefs playing out, you can write the game-script in your head and then identify your best bets and wagers accordingly.

For me, there are three key factors that will come into this game. First, I don’t see either defense being a great factor on Sunday, meaning it’ll be an offensive showcase. Secondly, that offense-heavy affair will force the 49ers to utilize Jimmy Garoppolo and the passing attack more than they have. And thirdly, I expect the Chiefs to use their speed on offense to attack San Francisco.

With that type of game in mind, where do your best odds lie, either individually or to try and form a nice, hearty parlay? These are the five best Super Bowl bets for the 49ers-Chiefs matchup. All odds are courtesy of The Action Network.

5. Chiefs -0.5 in first half (+105)

As dominant as Kansas City has been overall in the playoffs, they have not been getting off to fast starts. They famously went down 24-0 in the second quarter of the Divisional Round against Houston before mounting their quick, massive comeback and trailed 17-7 in the AFC Championship against Tennessee in the second quarter.

In both of those games, however, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill and this explosive offense erased those deficits quickly. Against the Texans, they scored 28 points to end the second quarter and take a lead going into halftime. Versus the Titans, they scored two touchdowns before the half to take a 21-17 lead.

The Chiefs have the ability to turn it on and score quickly at any moment. Furthermore, I don’t expect them to get off to as slow of a start as they have in the postseason to this point with the stakes of the Super Bowl on the line. As such, take Kansas City in what is basically a pick ’em in the first half.
