The Green Bay Packers have key players hitting free agency this offseason but these players should be kept in green and yellow.

The Green Bay Packers are coming off a season they can be proud of. A 13-3 record with a clean sweep of the division and a trip to the NFC Championship Game is a year they can use as a confidence boost going into next fall. However, there is always work to be done to maintain and improve as the Packers enter the 2020 offseason.

What the Packers need to worry about first is what to do with their unrestricted free agents (UFA) this offseason before targeting other players on the open market or making moves in the 2020 NFL Draft.

There are some big names on that list and guys that fall on both sides of the ball. Either way, if the Packers want to get back to the NFC Championship Game next year and perhaps punch their ticket to Super Bowl LV, they’ll need to retain some of these key pending free agents. These are the players that they should be keen on re-signing in the 2020 offseason.

6. Mason Crosby, K

A guy who has been with Green Bay since 2007 and has always been reliable, Mason Crosby should be an easy decision for Gutekunst, as consistent kickers have been an issue for multiple teams around the league recently. Crosby, however, has been the model of consistency throughout his tenure with the Packers and is just getting better with age.

He may be 35, but Crosby is coming off the highest percentage of his career, making 91.7 percent of his field goals. At a price that isn’t too steep, Crosby is well worth bringing back.
