The New England Patriots watched Super Bowl 54 from home but what can the team learn from the matchup between the Chiefs and 49ers?

A year after winning the Super Bowl and coming out on top in the big game to be crowned NFL Champions, the New England Patriots ended up watching Super Bowl LIV between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers in Miami from their couches after failing to return to the game this season.

In the game between the Chiefs and the 49ers on Sunday night, the contest featured two talented squads that put on an entertaining title game at Hard Rock Stadium on the national stage, with the Chiefs ultimately coming away with a come-from-behind 31-20 victory to be crowned Super Bowl Champions.

Kansas City, which trailed by as much as 10 points in the game and fell behind San Francisco 20-10 going into the fourth and final quarter of Sunday’s matchup, went on to score 21 unanswered points led by Patrick Mahomes and company on offense to come away with a championship ring at the end of the night.

Throughout the game on Sunday, there were multiple things that both the Chiefs and 49ers displayed that teams could learn from going into the 2020 season and could take away from the contest to add to their teams and systems before the new year begins.

With games now officially in the past and the offseason now underway for every team throughout the NFL, let’s take a look back at the Super Bowl showdown and come up with three things that the Patriots should have taken away from the entertaining game in Miami on Sunday.
