Jalen Reagor is one of the most fascinating prospects in the loaded wide receiver class of the 2020 NFL Draft. The TCU product showcased tremendous explosiveness throughout his time with the Horned Frogs as both a pass-catcher and return specialist. However, his lack of production in his final season is concerning, even if it can be explained by a freshman quarterback and an offense that didn’t play to his strengths.
Scouting Outlook
"Jalen Reagor is a late Day 1/early Day 2 candidate for teams looking to add electric playmaking ability to their receiving corps. Reagor is not a perfect prospect, as he struggles at times with contested catches and concentration drops, and lacks an elite catch radius for downfield targets — but with that said, he is a silky route-runner with excellent releases off of tight coverage, which provides a very high ceiling for his deployment either outside or in the slot. – Benjamin Solak, The Draft Network"
Fit with the Packers
There’s no question that Reagor will need some further development as he enters the NFL, most notably improving his concentration to limit his drops and also the need to further develop his route tree moving forward. Even still, his versatility and game-breaking speed make him intriguing for Green Bay.
The Packers lack a dynamic threat outside of Adams, who is an entirely different player. Putting Reagor in the offense with Adams would give opposing defenses different levels of the field to contend with in the passing game as they have to concern themselves with Reagor’s speed and craftiness along with Adams’ elite route-running and size.
