4. Dallas Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is always looking for ways to boost performance for his team on the field by acquiring top-level talent to join one of the most storied franchises in NFL history. Could Jones take a shot at trying to bring in Stefon Diggs to America’s Team ahead of the 2020 season? It’s certainly an intriguing idea.

Going into the offseason, the Cowboys have multiple players hitting the free-agent market that could impact whether or not they explore the idea of going after a wide receiver such as Diggs or others.

For one, Dallas is still dealing with the stand-off between the organization and star quarterback Dak Prescott. Another player to keep an eye on as far as what the Cowboys do with their free agents is wide receiver Amari Cooper, whose deal expired following the 2019 campaign.

Dallas originally acquired Cooper a few years ago from the Oakland Raiders, and in his time with the Cowboys so far, he has been a nice option in the passing game led by Prescott under center.

But what if Dallas decides that it wants to part ways with Cooper or it makes the decision of not wanting to commit long-term money to the wideout in 2020 and beyond? That could open the door for the Cowboys to look elsewhere, including the trade market, to fill Cooper’s role.

Diggs joining the likes of Prescott in the passing game to go along with the dominant rushing attack led by Ezekiel Elliott is a really interesting thought for Cowboys fans. And we know it’s something that Jones would likely be open to if the opportunity presented itself.

If Minnesota ultimately decides to move on from its star wide receiver this offseason, watch out for Jones and The Boys to try and bring in Diggs for the 2020 campaign and beyond.
