If Jameis Winston hits the market in 2020 NFL free agency, numerous teams could be interested in signing the former No. 1 overall pick.

Five years ago, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers felt confident enough in Jameis Winston being their quarterback of the future after deciding to use the top overall pick on the former Florida State star.

Heading into the 2020 season, this may no longer be the case, as the Buccaneers face one of the most difficult decisions for the upcoming free agency period in regards to whether Winston is worth bringing back for a sixth year with the team.

While Winston finishing with career numbers (5,109 passing yards with 33 touchdowns) in 2019 would make it seem like Tampa Bay has an easy decision on their hands but, unfortunately, his high amount of turnovers are one of a few concerning issues.

The fact that Winston finished the 2019 campaign with 30 interceptions shows why the Buccaneers are in a difficult position since the last thing they want to do is overpay the quarterback if the turnovers are going to be an issue.

Not to mention, it’s even more concerning that in five years with the team, Winston failed to lead Tampa Bay to the playoffs even once, making it easy to understand why a fresh start could be best for both parties.

At least if this turns out to be the case, chances are there will be a handful of teams willing to give it a go with Winston during the 2020 season, even if it only happens to be short term before investing for the long run.

Since the start of free agency will be here before football fans know it, here are some intriguing landing spots for Winston in 2020 if the quarterback and the Buccaneers do in fact part ways.
