3. Carolina Panthers

Without question, the Carolina Panthers made the right decision in moving on from Ron Rivera before the end of the 2019 season when seeing how the team looked like a serious contender early on in each of the last two seasons before things fell apart the final two months.

After seeing how Matt Rhule was able to turn things around for both Temple and Baylor before taking the job with the Panthers, there’s no question this was a great hire that should see an immediate impact in 2020.

But before Rhule and Carolina can get too excited, the team needs to figure out their situation at quarterback since this past season made it clear they could use someone new since Cam Newton and Kyle Allen may not be the best options.

By the time the Panthers are on the clock at No. 7, there’s a good chance that Tagovailoa will already be off the board since there a few teams ahead of Carolina in need of help at quarterback as well.

Does this mean that Carolina would be willing to trade up if needed to land Tagovailoa to avoid the risk of hoping he falls to No. 7?

If Rhule and the Panthers truly believe this could be a move to help turn the franchise around, Carolina seems like they would have nothing to lose.
