58. . Quarterback. Washington Commanders. Tua Tagovailoa. 2. player

As previously mentioned, there’s a good chance the Washington Redskins decide to use this selection on Ohio State’s Chase Young since the edge rusher is arguably the best defender from this year’s draft class.

But if the Redskin were to pull a surprise as previously mentioned by going with Tua Tagovailoa over the belief the offense would be better off with the Alabama star over Dwayne Haskins, this would certainly shake up the first round.

Ever since Tagovailoa burst on the college football season as a freshman in 2017, most football fans knew it was only a matter of time before he would be playing in the NFL, and the previous two seasons with the Crimson Tide make it clear he’s ready for the leap.

Watching Tagovailoa completed 76 touchdown passes over the last two seasons shows what kind of potential he has at the NFL level, and even though the verdict is still out, this already seems like a potential upgrade over Haskins.

Once again, this may seem unfair for Haskins since it’s only been one season, and there’s still plenty of time for the youngster to develop, but the Redskins need to do what is best for the team, even if that means making a surprise switch to Tagovailoa.

This scenario may sound frustrating for Washington to deal with since it would mean the Redskins would go quarterback in the first round two years in a row, but also could be worth it if turns out like the situation with the Arizona Cardinals and Kyler Murray.
