1. Anthony Harris

One of the stars on defense for the Minnesota Vikings that popped up throughout the course of the 2019 campaign was defensive back Anthony Harris.

Harris put together a career-best year and Minnesota should do all it can to try and retain and re-sign the young defensive back for at least the next few seasons.

Going into the offseason as an unrestricted free agent, trying to re-sign Harris might be challenging for the Vikings, as other teams around the NFL will likely also have their eyes on Harris and could more than likely offer him more money to lure him away from Minnesota.

In 2019, Harris wrapped up fifth season in the league and with the Vikings after he broke into the league out of Virginia in 2015 when he was signed by Minnesota as an undrafted free agent.

During the regular season, Harris had a breakout year to help boost the Vikings defense, appearing in a total of 14 games while starting in all 14 of those contests. The 28-year-old ended up recording a career-high 60 tackles, while also grabbing a career-best six interceptions and one defensive touchdown along with one fumble recovery.

Time and time again throughout the course of the season, Harris stepped up and made a play when the Vikings needed someone to do so, proving his worth among the defensive group.

Harris is both young enough and has enough experience to prove himself as a player that Minnesota should do all it can to retain going into the 2020 campaign. Now, if the Vikings are able to hold other teams off from trying to steal Harris from them, that’s another question.
