4. Dallas Cowboys

One team that could be worth keeping an eye on as far as how they attack the offseason is the Dallas Cowboys.

While Jerry Jones and the Cowboys front office continue their stand-off with quarterback Dak Prescott in terms of whether or not Prescott will get a new contract going into 2020, Jones and company could also be looking to fill a need at tight end this offseason.

During the 2019 campaign, Dallas had a familiar face back in the tight end position with veteran Jason Witten coming out of retirement to suit back up for America’s Team for at least one more season.

Witten had somewhat of an average season back on the field for the Cowboys, leading the way for the tight end unit with a total of 63 receptions through the air, along with 529 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

With Witten possibly either on his way out of Dallas or ending up retiring for good before the 2020 year commences, Dallas could be on the lookout for a new and younger tight end to slip into that role.

Hooper would be a nice piece to throw into the mix of things offensively to pair with Prescott in the passing game and to go along with the dominant running game led by Ezekiel Elliott. Potentially adding Hooper to the receiving group of Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and Randall Cobb would make for a dangerous group of offensive firepower that would make the Cowboys a feared offense in the NFL.

This offseason will likely be interesting when it comes to what Dallas does and the moves that it makes. And as we know, Jones likes to make a splash by adding the top targets on the market to help propel the Cowboys into the Super Bowl contender conversation.
