1. Buffalo Bills

After going 10-6 last season, it feels as if the Buffalo Bills are on the precipice of something special with Josh Allen at the helm of the offense. Yes, the quarterback is very much still developing but general manager Brandon Beane has been going about his business wisely in recent years and has constructed a complete roster around the 2018 first-round pick.

That’s expected to continue in the 2020 offseason where the Bills can add weaponry to their offense in the NFL Draft and in NFL free agency. But while their defense has been a strong suit under head coach Sean McDermott, there are now some holes to address there as well and one of the biggest is at defensive end.

With Lorenzo Alexander retiring, Shaq Lawson set to hit free agency and Trent Murphy being nothing more than solid coming off the edge, the Bills need to add some more firepower coming off the edge along with veteran Jerry Hughes. It’s safe to say that Everson Griffen could do that and more for Buffalo should they be able to land him.

Buffalo has over $82 million in cap space to work with this offseason, meaning they can take some big swings if they really want to make a Super Bowl push while Allen is still on his rookie contract. Going after a player of Griffen’s caliber and perhaps slightly overpaying to ensure they can land him would be a prudent move to keep the defense performing at a high level as the offense continues to grow and develop.
