With Jaire Alexander and Kevin King, cornerback isn’t the greatest worry for the Packers at this point. However, some depth is never a bad thing, especially when it pertains to getting talented players in the secondary.

One of the more interesting prospects is Michigan’s Lavert Hill. Playing and succeeding at Michigan in a press-man scheme, he’s shown how adept he is at coverage. However, diminutive size (5-11, 182 pounds) and limited athleticism make some question his ability. The tape shows a quality coverage player though and that’s worth believing in for a sixth-round pick.

Khalil Davis is a hard player to place in the 2020 NFL Draft class. He’s undersized and may not be the most versatile player because of that. However, a lightning-quick get-off and some explosiveness as a penetration player could make him a huge asset. He was a phenomenal pass-rusher on the interior and could serve that role in Green Bay if they can find ways to utilize his skill set properly.

Sewo Olonilua is an absolute beast. While he clearly has the ability to punish would-be tacklers with his 6-3, 240-pound frame as a running back, the TCU product has nice athleticism and movement skills for a player as big as he is. A bad offense for the Horned Frogs very much hamstrung him but he has potential to be an offensive piece that gives the Packers different looks out of the backfield.

There are character red flags with Tipa Galea’i which led to him ending up at Utah State after starting at TCU. However, his physical traits should entice some teams, including Green Bay at the end of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Galea’i has tremendous burst off the edge and, though he lacks great power and technique, that’s a coachable trait in a 3-4 defense, especially from a seventh-rounder. And with some depth not being a bad idea for the Packers, that’s a nice addition.
