Wildcats . Khalil Tate. 186. player. 835. . Quarterback

First off, let the record show there’s no reason to believe that Cousins is at risk to losing his starting job in 2020 with the Vikings, especially after leading the team to the Divisional Round this past season.

However, Minnesota could have some questions at the quarterback position beyond the 2020 season since Cousins is entering the final year of his deal, and no one really knows what to expect from the Vikings once 2021 hits.

As Cousins most likely knows, what the future holds for him at quarterback in Minnesota could come down to what happens next season, which is why the team will most likely look to the draft for a young quarterback just in case.

Without question, Arizona’s Khalil Tate is going to be a work in progress once he joins the NFL, whether it happens to be with the Vikings or some other team.

Tate has the kind of throwing ability that should bring all sorts of excitement to the NFL, and the best part about joining a team like the Vikings if he wouldn’t feel the pressure to compete for the starting job right away since that belongs to Cousins.

But for all the Vikings know, Tate could end up being a fun project to work on for beyond the 2020 season in case things fail to work out with Cousins once his contract is up.
