2. A.J. Green, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

Arguably the Raiders’ top need this offseason, the wide receiver position must be addressed. While drafting one of the 2020 class’ many dangerous pass-catchers wouldn’t be a bad idea, it would be ideal if they could land a star free agent to give this offense a shot in the arm.

A.J. Green is the perfect fit for the Gruden-led Raiders. Not only is he a veteran (Gruden loves his old guys), but he’s healthy and would give Las Vegas a true No. 1 receiver with the potential to put the passing game on his back. Whether Carr or someone else (more on that soon) is at the helm, good things are bound to happen with Green running routes.

It’s not like relying on Tyrell Williams, Hunter Renfrow and Zay Jones is going to get the job done. Having Darren Waller at tight end certainly makes life easier for Raiders’ passers, but a more reliable threat is needed on the outside.

Let’s not pretend like Green wouldn’t upgrade the Las Vegas passing game tenfold.

Green isn’t the top receiver on the market given his age and the fact he missed all of 2019, but it’s not like the Raiders are to try to re-sign Amari Cooper. The long-time Cincinnati Bengals star is a game-changer out wide, and the Raiders would be crazy to miss the opportunity to bring him aboard.
