2. CeeDee Lamb, Oklahoma Sooners (NFL Draft)

In truth, the top two wide receivers in the 2020 NFL Draft are virtually interchangeable. The simple fact of the matters is that Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb and Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy are the cream of an extremely impressive crop of wide receivers in this year’s draft class. And if either of the two fall to No. 12, the Raiders would be foolish not to nab one of them up given what they could bring to the table.

While Lamb doesn’t have the speed or overall athletic ability that Ruggs or Jeudy do, he offers a bigger frame, more consistent hands, top-tier body control and the ability to make plays in 50-50 situations. Moreover, Lamb’s run-after-catch ability was on full display in the 2019 college season as he routinely turned modest gains into huge plays, speaking to his football IQ and vision. He’d immediately be a budding star for the Las Vegas offense.

1. Jerry Jeudy, Alabama Crimson Tide (NFL Draft)

As for the other part of the equation at the top of the draft’s wide receiver class, Jerry Jeudy is not a freak athletically but he still brings plenty of juice to the table, capable of beating guys down the field and in open areas. However, where the Alabama product really shines is with his route-running, one of the most polished draft prospects in recent memory when it comes to that aspect of his game.

Because of his ability to get open against any type of coverage with relative ease, Jeudy projects as a player who can be a high-volume target to carry a passing offense. Because of that, he’s the most ideal fit for what the Raiders should be looking for in the 2020 offseason. They need a player who can be a persistent and consistent threat in the passing game and wide receiver, which is what Jeudy will almost surely be, perhaps right away.
