(Pick via Dolphins) For a fifth-round cornerback, it’s hard not to like what A.J. Green brings to the table coming out of Oklahoma State. At 6-1, 199 pounds, the defensive back has the size and length desirable for the position and has plenty of juice as an athlete. While he needs technical work and development in how he sees the game, the tools are there to succeed.

While Detroit took Okudah at No. 5 overall, the fact that the Lions could lose Darius Slay this offseason via trade means they could really need to overhaul the secondary. As such, taking Green at the end of the fifth would behoove them.

RB. Detroit Lions. Darrynton Evans. 6. player. 50.

If Kerryon Johnson can stay healthy, the Lions believe they have their answer at running back and they might. However, the depth at the position left a lot to be desired when Johnson was out for much of the 2019 season. Thus, they add a change-of-pace player here in Darrynton Evans out of Appalachian State. The young man is diminutive in stature but huge in quickness and explosiveness. He can be a lightning bolt out of the backfield to give the offense a little jolt on occasion.

50. . OT. Detroit Lions. Alex Taylor. 6. player

(Pick via Eagles) Offensive tackle is surely not an immediate need for the Lions but it is a spot where Detroit could use some depth behind Ricky Wagner and Taylor Decker to go with 2018 fifth-round pick Tyrell Crosby.

Alex Taylor is an intriguing developmental prospect out of South Carolina State. At 6-9, 308 pounds, he’s wildly built and has nice athleticism in his frame. He needs to get much stronger to succeed against NFL defenses but, as a possibly practice squad stash, he could have value for Detroit.
