The Green Bay Packers address glaring needs at linebacker and wide receiver in a new 7-round 2020 mock draft following the NFL Combine.

The NFL Scouting Combine is now past us and the Green Bay Packers have a better idea of what this year’s prospects are capable of. Up next: the 2020 NFL Draft, which kicks off on April 23 in Las Vegas. Following the Combine, we compiled a full 7-round NFL mock draft for the Packers based on the performances of the prospects.

Perhaps the biggest takeaway from the NFL Combine was that the 2020 receiver class is as good as advertised. There could be five or six receivers taken in the first round alone. The Packers will have their pick of the litter in the top two rounds, which bodes well for a team needing a bonafide No. 2 option opposite of Davante Adams.

One of the biggest standouts at the Combine was Baylor’s Denzel Mims. Leading up to the event, Mims was considered a likely top 100 selection. After his impressive performance, the talented receiver likely rocketed himself into top 50 consideration. Mims (6-3, 207 pounds) finished with a blazing 4.38-second 40-yard dash and 6.66-second 3-cone.

Another top need for the Packers is the inside linebacker position. Fortunately for Green Bay, there appears to be a few great options in the top 50 picks, starting with Oklahoma’s Kenneth Murray. Though he injured himself on his second attempt in the 40-yard dash (hamstring), Murray looked the part in his first run (4.51 seconds).

There’s plenty of time for the Packers to get their draft board right. With nearly two months until the draft, general manager Brian Gutekunst and his staff will spend countless hours grinding tape and wondering which prospects fit best in Green Bay’s system.

In the meantime, the best we can do is try to guess which players Gutekunst and the Packers would take. Here’s a full 7-round 2020 NFL mock draft for the Packers following the NFL Scouting Combine.
