As we move past the NFL Combine, here’s a look at what the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could do in the 2020 NFL Draft with a new 7-round mock draft.

Despite a disappointing 7-9 finish to the 2019 season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers still experienced a lot of improvement under head coach Bruce Arians and the rest of his staff during their first season at the helm of the pirate ship. However, as we move into 2020, there are still a number of holes on the roster that need to be filled in order for the team to return to the postseason.

These open spots include quarterback, running back, wide receiver, offensive line, defensive line and the secondary. Starting with the No. 14 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, however, April’s event offers plenty of opportunities for the Buccaneers to make a push.

So what areas should Arians and general manager Jason Licht target in the 2020 NFL Draft? Let’s break it down with a post-NFL Combine 7-round mock draft.

Currently, edge rushers Shaquil Barrett, Jason Pierre-Paul and Carl Nassib are free agents, along with defensive linemen Ndamukong Suh, Beau Allen and Rakeem Nunez-Roches. So it’s safe to say that Licht and Arians will have to find at least a couple of replacements for defensive coordinator Todd Bowles.

Although Suh had a big impact during his lone season here, it’s time for Vita Vea to have another long term running mate on the defensive line. Javon Kinlaw would be an excellent choice. Ranked seventh on CBSSports.com’s current prospect rankings, the former Gamecock would be a massive boost to the heart of the Bucs’ defense.

At 6-5, 324 pounds, Kinlaw is a mountain of a man who routinely took on the some of the best offensive linemen in the nation during SEC play. He was arguably the best player on South Carolina head coach Will Muschamp‘s defense and most likely the best defender to come out of the school since former No. 1 overall pick Jadeveon Clowney.

Other possibilities with this pick include a quarterback (Justin Herbert, Jacob Eason or Jordan Love), an offensive lineman (Jedrick Wills, Tristan Wirfs, Mekhi Becton or Andrew Thomas) or a defensive back (C.J. Henderson, Grant Delpit or Xavier McKinney).
