The New York Giants have a lot of work to do in the 2020 NFL Draft. Here are their top three options with the No. 4 overall pick.

The 2020 NFL Draft is rapidly approaching and the New York Giants have a great deal of work to do. Big Blue has gone a woeful 12-36 over the last three years. Six of their last seven seasons have been losing ones. It’s time to finally turn things around.

The G-Men own eight upcoming draft picks, including the No. 4 overall selection. There are several ways to proceed with that premium pick since their roster, on both sides of the ball, needs vast improvement. Let’s assume, for argument’s sake, that the top three selections will be:

If that is indeed the case, here are New York’s top three first-round options heading into the 2020 NFL Draft from Las Vegas on April 23-25.

Wills, OT, Alabama

The Giants need a road-grader to open up holes for Saquon Barkley and to help protect quarterback Daniel Jones and the 6-4, 312-pound Jedrick Wills would be an excellent fit. The Lexington, KY native was a second-team Associated Press All-American and a First-Team All-SEC selection for the Crimson Tide in 2019, starting all 13 games at right tackle.

Wills can step right in and take over the right tackle spot from Mike Remmers and be a foundation tackle for the next decade for Big Blue. He’s known as an outstanding athlete with excellent footwork and balance for such a big man. Another Jumbo Elliott? Big Blue can only hope.

Simmons, LB, Clemson

Linebacker has been a sore spot for Big Blue for years now. While no one is expecting the next Lawrence Taylor to walk through the door, Isaiah Simmons would be a huge boost to a Giants defense that has really fallen on hard times. The unanimous All-American and Butkus Award winner (2019) might be the most versatile player in the entire draft. He can play strong safety, MIKE, SAM, start off the edge or with his hand on the turf.

He owns outstanding quickness and length, along with superior athletic ability. He paced the Tigers in tackles last season (104) and added eight passes defensed, seven sacks and three interceptions. The 6-4, 238-pounder is known for having a high football IQ and would just be what the doctor ordered for a Big Blue defense that needs a huge overhaul.

CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma

It might seem a little unusual for general manager Dave Gettleman to grab a wide receiver when the G-Men have so many other critical needs. However, with that being said, CeeDee Lamb projects as a very special player on the next level. The 6-2, 198-pounder was a First-Team All-American for the Sooners last year and a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award.

Every NFL team's most underrated offensive weapon. dark. Next

The Opelousas, LA native recorded 62 receptions for 1,327 yards (21.4 yards per catch) with 14 touchdowns. Over his last two seasons in Norman, Lamb registered 25 touchdowns. Lamb has superior ball skills and top-notch speed. He is especially adept at YAC (yards after catch) where he displays his premier ability to break tackles on the way to the end zone.

If Lamb is tabbed as the newest Giant, he’d team with Golden Tate, Sterling Shephard, Evan Engram and Darius Slayton to give Jones a dangerous group of receivers to feed the pigskin.
