4. DT Beau Allen (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

He was part of Jim Schwartz’s defensive line rotation with the eventual Super Bowl LII champion Philadelphia Eagles. Beau Allen spent four seasons in the City of Brotherly Love from 2014-17 before signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an unrestricted free agent in 2018.

Now he could prove to be a valuable addition to Leslie Frazier’s defensive unit as the Bills may have to deal with a number of free-agent defections up front.

Allen, a seventh-round draft from the University of Wisconsin back in 2014, played in all but one game during his time with the Birds and made eight starts. The 6-3, 327-pound pro was part of a solid group in Philadelphia and the team’s depth in this area helped paved the way for an NFL championship in ’17.

Keep in mind that Sean McDermott’s club has its share of standouts up front in 2019 first-round pick Ed Oliver and former Panthers’ standout Star Lotulelei, while Trent Murphy and Jerry Hughes are on the outside. However, defensive tackle Jordan Phillips led the club with 9.5 sacks this past year and former first-rounder Shaq Lawson was second on the team with 6.5 quarterback traps. And both are scheduled to become unrestricted free agents later this month.

Hence, Allen could be a key addition if Phillips and/or Lawson don’t return.
