2. G Ronald Leary (Denver Broncos)

Last offseason, general manager Brandon Beane addressed the Buffalo Bills’ shaky offensive line in a big way. Veterans such as center Mitch Morse, guards Jon Feliciano and Quinton Spain, versatile Spencer Long and tackle Ty Nsekhe were signed. He also used a second-round pick last April on tackle Cody Ford.

In 2018, the club ranked ninth in the league in rushing offense. But it was then-rookie quarterback Josh Allen who finished with the most yards on the ground for the club – due mainly to the fact that he was literally running for his NFL life. A year ago, Buffalo surrendered 41 sacks and it could have been much worse.

That all changed this past season when the club was eighth in the NFL in rushing with running backs Devin Singletary and Frank Gore leading the way (although Allen ran for 510 yards and nine scores). The team did allow 40 quarterback traps so there’s still room for improvement in that regard.

Spain signed a one-year contract and could go back on the open market — unless the Bills opt to bring him back. If not, could veteran Ronald Leary fill the spot? He has enjoyed a solid career with the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos. This past season, he played and started 12 games for Vic Fangio’s club.
