1. DE Jadeveon Clowney (Seattle Seahawks)

The first overall pick by the Houston Texans back in 2014, defensive end Jadeveon Clowney spent the early part of his career proving he could stay on the football field. Injuries were certainly a part of his rookie season when he played in only four contests and made two starts.

That number elevated to 13 outings in his second year, when he finished with 40 tackles, 4.5 sacks and six passes defensed.

Over the past four seasons — including 2019 with the Seattle Seahawks — he’s been an intriguing performer. He’s missed only six games over that stretch, three of those this past year with Pete Carroll’s club.

The résumé includes 27.5 sacks, eight fumble recoveries (three for touchdowns), eight forced fumbles and one interception returned 27 yards for a score back in Week 10 in Seattle’s 27-24 Monday night win at San Francisco.

Jadeveon Clowney could raise the level of the Buffalo Bills’ defense thanks to his solid play against the run and his penchant for the big play. Of course, the six-year pro and three-time Pro Bowler will likely come with a high price tag. However, this is a franchise that could foot the bill and it may prove to be a wise investment.
