With the New England Patriots reportedly looking into the trade market to look for another receiver, here are five targets they could go after.

The New England Patriots are heading into their most important and potentially franchise-altering offseasons in the last two decades. The biggest reason that this offseason is so important for New England surrounds Patriots veteran quarterback and future Hall-of-Famer Tom Brady, who is set to hit the free-agent market for the first time in his legendary career.

While Brady ponders whether or not he wants to return to New England in 2020 and beyond while the Patriots try to convince him he indeed should want to return, New England is reportedly trying to improve its offense before the free agency signing period officially begins in March.

According to SI.com, the Patriots are reportedly looking around the trade market to add to their receiving group on the offensive side of the ball in an attempt to surround potentially Brady with some higher caliber talent in the passing game.

SI.com reporter Albert Breer reported that New England is “sniffing around the trade market for receivers and tight ends,” two positions that the Patriots will no doubt need to add a few players to if they want to have a chance to re-sign Brady ahead of the new year.

Although New England could ultimately end up adding to its talent on offense via free agency later on this month — and there are some interesting players set to hit the market — the Patriots reportedly don’t want to waste any time in exploring the idea of bringing in getting talent among their receiving group.

With New England looking around the market for potential trade targets to bring into Foxborough In 2020 and beyond, let’s look at five potential targets the Patriots could look at and go after on the trade market.
