3. Tavon Austin, WR, Dallas Cowboys

Remember that speed dynamic I brought up that the Titans were lacking? That goes for the offensive side too.

Even though the Titans have an extremely talented core of pass-catchers for the first time since relocating to Nashville, the team is still in need of some speed at the position. They desperately need a fast wide receiver to scare opposing defenses of not only the deep ball but also the “gadget” plays offensive coordinator Arthur Smith has shown he loves to call.

Corey Davis, Adam Humphries and A.J. Brown have all carved out their own niches within the offense but none possess that speed threat that opposing defenses have to account for. With Tajae Sharpe likely departing in free agency, Tavon Austin could fit in almost perfectly at the fourth wide receiver spot. The former West Virginia college phenom can also add an exciting element in the return game since Adoree Jackson and Darius Jennings have been anything but.

Although Brown is only one year into his rookie deal, the team has committed a lot of money to Humphries and also has a huge decision to make on the fifth-year option of former first-round pick Corey Davis this summer. That is potentially a large sum of money to go into the position, so Jon Robinson may be a little hesitant to invest in another expensive pass catcher.

Austin can likely be had on a deal in the ballpark of two years, $3 million, according to his recent contract numbers, via Spotrac.
