10. Shaquil Barrett, EDGE

Update (March 16): Franchise tagged by Buccaneers

Getting a one-year “prove-it” deal from the Buccaneers, Shaq Barrett did that and more as he led the NFL sacks last season. It’s almost certain that Tampa Bay will franchise tag him to try and get a long-term contract done but, as of now, who knows.

9. Arik Armstead, DE

After miring in relative mediocrity prior to the 2019 season, Arik Armstead finally had his breakout season with the 49ers. Now the former first-rounder hits the market and how San Francisco might retain him remains to be seen.

8. Jack Conklin, OT

Injuries were the primary reason that Tennessee chose not to pick up the fifth-year option of right tackle Jack Conklin but he played like an All-Pro caliber player again in 2019. Now due for a massive payday, there will be no shortage of suitors for the Michigan State product.

7. Philip Rivers, QB

Philip Rivers is coming off of one of the worst seasons of his career in LA. However, he’s a proven veteran quarterback that a change of scenery might rejuvenate. Plenty of teams should be interested in taking the signal-caller as a veteran “stopgap” with playoff upside.

6. Byron Jones, CB

An athletic freak, the move back to cornerback has been fruitful for Byron Jones in Dallas. But as it looks like they may choose not to pay him, Jones comes in as one of the biggest game-changers in the entire free-agent class in 2020
