NFL Free Agency 2020: Ranking the 50 Best available players
40. Kyle Van Noy, LB
It’s always good to be wary of a player whenever he mulls around, thrives with the New England Patriots and then hits the NFL free agency market. Such is the case with Kyle Van Noy. He’s been a staple under Bill Belichick but the question is if he can be that type of player without the Patriot Way behind him.
39. Eli Apple, CB
In New York, Eli Apple was clearly never going to pan out. That’s why they shipped him to New Orleans but, once in the Big Easy, the Ohio State product showed why he was once a first-round pick. The overall body of work and consistency are in question with Apple but his potential remains obvious.
38. Javon Hargrave, DT
Because he often lined up as a nose for the Steelers, the value of Javon Hargrave in free agency is going to be somewhat limited. While that may be true, his consistent level of play in the heart of a defensive line makes him valuable for any team that’s in need of someone at the position.
37. Jason Pierre-Paul, EDGE
Make no mistake, Jason Pierre-Paul is not the player he once was in his heyday with the Giants. Having said that, if he can stay healthy, his most recent stint in Tampa Bay undoubtedly proved that he can make an impact on a team’s pass rush. Subsequently, we’ll see which team wants the veteran on the edge for them.
36. Shelby Harris, DT
In his first full season of starting all 16 games this past year, Shelby Harris rewarded that type of faith being put in him as he registered a career-high six sacks and was a standout force. While it’s just one year at that level, his stock is at an all-time high at the perfect time as he can now cash in.
