Cincinnati Bengals: Devin Funchess

Originally, Devin Funchess was hoping the one-year deal signed with the Indianapolis Colts in 2019 would result in a larger deal down the road, whether it was with the team or someone else.

Unfortunately, a broken collarbone in September resulted in appearing in just one game last season for the Colts, meaning any potential hefty deal will most likely have to wait another year.

Despite how things played out for Funchess in 2019, the good news for the wideout is there are plenty of teams in need of help at the position, and will most likely be up for giving the receiver another chance to prove himself.

Based on the four years spent with the Carolina Panthers, Funchess always seemed like the kind of receiver who would be on the verge of becoming a top receiver in the league, but never lived up to the hype.

The Cincinnati Bengals may not seem like the most attractive destination at the moment after only winning one game last season, but assuming the team decides to go with Joe Burrow down the road in the draft with the top overall pick, this could become a receiver’s dream.

For all the Bengals know, Funchess could end up being an underrated target for Burrow to rely on in the passing game.
