NFL Free Agency 2020: One player each team should sign
By Dan Parzych
Cleveland Browns: Jimmie Ward
Will the Cleveland Browns find a way to live up to the hype for a change during the 2020 season after coming up way short last year?
Between all of the high expectations surrounding Baker Mayfield entering his second NFL season along with the team acquiring Odell Beckham Jr. from the New York Giants, it was easy to understand all of the excitement surrounding the Browns.
So when Cleveland went on to win just six games during the 2019 season, this made them an easy candidate to be considered one of the biggest disappointments.
If the Browns can put together a successful offseason, there is every reason to believe the team will find a way to become playoff contenders this time around in 2020 instead of coming up short once again.
But of course, if this is going to happen, Cleveland will need to make sure they put together a successful offseason, including the upcoming free agency period.
Depending on what happens with Jimmie Ward and the San Francisco 49ers, the Browns could be the perfect landing spots for the safety to provide their defense with a bit of an upgrade.
Most likely, Ward will prefer to return to the team that recently made an appearance in the Super Bowl, but if he explores other options, Cleveland needs to jump on this signing.
