Antonio Gibson. RB. 858. Scouting Report. Round 4. Pick 120. player. Pick Analysis

When the Jets signed Le’Veon Bell, it was assumed they were going to be able to run their offense through him. Before holding out and missing the entire 2018 season, Bell was one of the best running backs in the NFL — if not the best.

Then in 2019, he took a step backward. Bell had just 3.2 yards per rush and finished with 789 yards on the ground for New York. He also had just three touchdowns rushing. He still was able to get the ball a lot as a receiver, catching 66 passes for 461 yards and another score, but it wasn’t enough.

Bell could improve with the offensive line addition already made in this draft but New York needs a back-up plan. That’s where Antonio Gibson from Memphis comes in. Of course, this is a bit of a projection pick.

Gibson played receiver at Memphis but looks to transition to running back in the NFL. That could be a great thing for Sam Darnold as he will have someone to dump the ball off to that can make plays with his 4.39 speed.

It could also give Bell some rest while providing a potential game-changing back. He’s also a player that can help n the return game. Not a bad pick this late.

Scouting Report. Pick 158. Harrison Hand. Pick Analysis. Round 5. CB. player. 885

New York released Trumaine Johnson who didn’t live up to his lofty contract. Now, they add some depth with Harrison Hand out of Temple. He’s not replacing Johnson considering he’s not going to be a day one starter but he’s a strong player who can thrive as a press corner.

In time, he could turn into a real player for an NFL squad but they need to be patient as he learns the speed of the game.
