5 Massive NFL trades that could make 2020 even crazier

4. J.J. Watt to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a role player
Why have just two Watts in Pittsburgh when you can have them all? That’s the joke going around social media right now as Derek Watt recently signed with the Steelers, which is where his brother T.J. Watt has been playing since 2017.
That led to rumors that J.J. Watt, the former three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year could also land in the Steel City. And Watt has even gone to Twitter to joke about how he now knows his parent’s favorite team is in Pittsburgh.
But why should it stop as being the elder Watt’s favorite? What not just send J.J. there as well and get maximum Watt-age?
With the way Bill O’Brien has been running things, it wouldn’t be too surprising to see that very thing happen. He traded away DeAndre Hopkins for a high-priced running back — who was likely to be cut anyway — and was absolutely roasted for it.
So not only could B.O.B. be willing to deal just about anyone, but there’s no telling what it would take. Perhaps the Steelers could send a role player such as tight end Nick Vannett and maybe a fourth-round pick. If so, that would make a crazy offseason even more unbelievable.
