Round 3, Pick 81: Kyle Dugger, S, Lenoir Rhyne

Yes, the Raiders paid Jeff Heath more than Karl Joseph which was a head-scratcher. However, he can play either safety position and is a great special teams player. He could also be a good mentor for a young player such as Kyle Dugger, who is selected at No. 81 in this mock.

Dugger, who played for a small school in Lenoir Rhyne, can look up to Heath who also had a small-school background. Undrafted in 2013 out of Saginaw Valley State, Heath turned into a trusted player for Dallas and he did so without the insane athleticism Dugger possesses.

Dugger has climbed boards since the end of the season as he showed off his skill during the Senior Bowl and Scouting Combine. It won’t be long until he becomes one of the more popular players in Raider Nation, provided they pull the trigger when he’s available.

Round 3, Pick 91: Rashard Lawrence, DT, LSU

Maliek Collins was a great signing but the Raiders need even more help along the interior of their line and adding Rashard Lawrence helps in that regard. Collins offers a good burst as a three-technique pass rusher but wasn’t elite against the run.

Lawrence is better in this area which could lead to a good rotation between the two.
