The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have the GOAT, Tom Brady, arriving for the 2020 season but which NFL Draft prospects can help out the new quarterback?

Last season, the first under head coach Bruce Arians, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers finished with a below-average 7-9 record. Most of their failure had to do with Jameis Winston’s 30 for 30 season — and not a new documentary. The former No. 1 overall pick ended the 2019 season with 30 interceptions and a one-way ticket out of Tampa Bay. With a massive hole at the quarterback position, the Bucs turned to the greatest quarterback of all-time: Tom Brady.

Brady comes into an offense that’s predicated on exploiting defenses, an offense that relies on timing and calculated downfield risks. It’s ideally suited for the cerebral signal-caller like Brady. Plus, their weapons far exceed anything he had in New England with Chris Godwin, O.J. Howard and Mike Evans as targets.

The Buccaneers front seven anchored their defense while the secondary improved over the season with Carlton Davis becoming a star. Now that Brady is in the building, the Buccaneers must use their resources in the 2020 NFL Draft to ensure immediate success.

10. McTelvin Agim. DT, Arkansas

The Buccaneers must turn to the draft to add depth or fill the void at the position that Ndamukong Suh played. If they decide to bring the former top-five pick back, adding a developmental prospect makes sense for the Bucs’ future. A player who brings the length and strength to play the 5-technique is Arkansas defensive tackle McTelvin Agim.

The former Razorback played in 32 college games where he finished with 140 tackles, 31 tackles for loss and 14.5 sacks. After starting as defensive end, the 6-3, 300-pounder moved inside where he showed excellent burst and the ability to disrupt plays in the backfield. In his first year inside, he finished with 38 tackles and five sacks.

Like Suh, Agim is an excellent athlete. At the NFL Combine, Agim ran an impressive 4.98-second 40-yard dash. Another testament to his athletic traits is his flexibility and ability to get skinny; where he’s able to exploit gaps. Thanks to his 33.5-inch arms, strength, athleticism and experience at defensive end, he offers upside playing the two-gap in Todd Bowles’ system.

Agim may get drafted higher than I am letting on. However, it’s possible that he could be there for the Bucs on Day 3 since he is a developmental prospect.
