48. Georgia. Andrew Thomas. 14. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. OT

The biggest news of this entire offseason was what was going on with Tom Brady. A 20-year NFL veteran, Brady had spent his entire career with the New England Patriots. In that time, he won six Super Bowls which is the most by any quarterback, ever. It’s also the most by a single-franchise as he took the Patriots to places they never dreamed of going.

Then, he finally decided to leave. The writing was on the wall all offseason as he was selling his house in Massachusetts and started looking for somewhere else to live. From there, it was all about where he would fit. Several teams were mentioned as suitors then at the 11th hour, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers emerged. And then before long, TB was heading to TB as Brady will join forces with Bruce Arians to try and put the Bucs franchise back on the map.

Brady will have a lot to work with as well with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, O.J. Howard, and Cameron Brate on the roster. However, they could stand to improve their offensive line, which is exactly what they do at this spot by selecting Georgia’s Andrew Thomas.

Thomas is arguably the best pure left tackle in the class and had a ton of starting experience for the Bulldogs. He has been skipped over as of late by other prospects but this is still a kid who will be a plug-and-play starter, and Brady and the Bucs will be more than happy with his ability to keep edge rushers at bay.
