Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Kristian Fulton. CB. LSU. 20. player. 52

(via Rams)

As previously mentioned, the Jacksonville Jaguars sent cornerback Jalen Ramsey to the Los Angeles Rams last season and they ended up with the 20th pick in this draft in exchange. The move helps the Jags as they can continue to rebuild their team but it’s confusing what the Rams are doing.

This team was the talk of the NFL a couple of seasons ago and even made it to the Super Bowl. Then, they just started trading away all their picks, believing that their best chance to win a Super Bowl was with high-priced veterans who have already developed elsewhere.

So far, that hasn’t worked and they took quite a step backward this past season. They’re also not going to be picking early anytime soon, so they really need those veterans to rise to the occasion.

Back to the Jaguars, they use this pick to replace Ramsey as they select Kristian Fulton out of LSU. Another Tigers defender who showed a ton of talent but has yet to reach his potential, Fulton is capable of holding his own against any wide receiver.

He’s going to have a lot on his plate as the Jaguars need him to replace one of the better corners in the game and he will be compared to Ramsey often — fair or not.
