The Minnesota Vikings can not only replace Stefon Diggs in the 2020 NFL Draft but also get the rest of the roster ready to take the NFC North.

If you’re a Minnesota Vikings fan, you have to be proud of the 10-6 season capped off by a playoff win the team accomplished this past season. None of it could have happened if Kirk Cousins and Dalvin Cook hadn’t lived up to expectations. Even a loss to the eventual NFC champs couldn’t damper the hope for the 2020 season. Of course, free agency has brought major changes.

The Vikings look substantially different after the NFL free agency frenzy. It starts at cornerback where Xavier Rhodes, coming off of the worst season of his career, was released by Minnesota and remains on the market. Meanwhile, Mackensie Alexander and

In the trenches on defense, they cut Linval Joseph and then replaced him with Michael Pierce, a nose tackle coming over from the Baltimore Ravens. However, they still have a major need at the tackle spot. On the edge, Everson Griffen (32) hit the free agency market after voiding the remainder of his contract. And even if he’s brought back, they still need an edge rusher.

The most shocking loss for the Vikings this offseason, however, came via trade when Stefon Diggs got shipped to the Buffalo Bills for a 2020 first-round pick, among other draft selections. They have to replace Diggs’ production and give Adam Thielen a running mate. All hope isn’t lost and Diggs isn’t the only fish in the sea.

Now having an extra first-round pick and a ton of extra selections at the end of the draft as well, the Vikings can fill their big holes in the 2020 NFL Draft. And looking at the draft board, these are five prospects that could help Minnesota stay in competition to win the NFC North.
